LITTLE ROCK – Jim Sadler, a Little Rock SCORE Business Counselor, will present a free Starting a Business Workshop in DeValls Bluff. This workshop is being offered through the office of the Mayor of DeValls Bluff.

Cost: There is no charge for this workshop.
The workshop is designed for people who want to start a business and people who are running small businesses now. Topics will include: 1) why so many small businesses fail so fast; 2) cash needed before start up; 3) sources of financing a business; 4) the importance of a well written business plan; 5) the four legal steps to complete before start up; 6) insurance considerations for the business; and 7) who your potential customers are and how you get them to buy from you. There will also be a question and answer session. SCORE is a non-profit association that is a resource partner of the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE has been operating for 49 years and has 364 offices around America and about 14,000 volunteer counselors. SCORE counselors are all current or former business people who want to see small business grow. SCORE offers free confidential counseling to people who want to start a business and to people who are running small businesses. In Arkansas, there are SCORE offices or chapters in Little Rock and in Springdale. Counseling is conducted one-on-one in person, by telephone or by email.
